Abstract

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Fu Yang “Triple-jiao Sequential therapy" in the treatment of cerebral infarction.

Methods: A total of 60 patients with cerebral infarction admitted to the first affiliated hospital of Guangxi university of Chinese medicine and the frst affiliated hospital of Guangxi medical university from September 2019 to March 2021, which were randomly divided into treatment group (30 patients) and control group (30 patients). The patients in the control group were treated with conventional western medicine, and the patients in the treatment group were treated with traditional Chinese medicine based on the conventional western medicine, Before and after treatment of 4 weeks, the treatment effective rate, the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome score, the Activity of Daily Living (ADL) score, the simplified Fugl-Meyer motor function score, neurological function deficit score and serum homocysteine level were compared between the two groups.

Results: The effective rate of the treatment group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant, After treatment the neurological function score, the TCM syndrome score and the homocysteine level were lower than before treatment, and the scores of treatment group were lower than those of control group (P<0.05). The ADL score, the simplified Fugl-Meyer motor function score were higher than before treatment, and the scores of treatment group were higher than those of control group(P<0.05).

Conclusion: Fu Yang "Triple-jiao Sequential therapy" can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients, and the mechanism may be related to the decline of serum homocysteine.
