Application of theory of “treat different diseases with the same treatment, and treat the same disease with different treatments” in non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease
Parkinson’s disease is a common clinical neurodegenerative disease, and its clinical manifestations are mainly motor symptoms. In recent years, more and more non-motor symptoms have received widespread attention, but there is a lack of clinically systematic treatment measures. “Treat different diseases with the same treatment, and treat the same disease with different treatments” is the basic theory of Chinese medicine, which has guided the clinical practice of Chinese medicine since ancient times. Many non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease can be regarded as individual disease types in Chinese medicine, and as a whole concept corresponding to different visceral pathogenesis changes in different pathological stages. This article discusses the application of this theory in the non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease from the perspective of “different diseases” having the same pathogenesis and “the same disease” having different stages, hoping to provide a new idea of a whole and flexibly treatment for clinicians to treat non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
