Rehabilitation nursing analysis of a patient with Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome and tracheostomy
Objective:To investigate the rehabilitation nursing of one patient with Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS)combined with tracheostomy.
Methods: Comprehensive observations, rehabilitation exercises and nursing were conducted on the patient with LEMS combined with tracheostomy.
Results: The patient had difficulty swallowing upon admission and was in a tracheostomy state. The Wada drinking water test was performed at level 4. After treatment and rehabilitation nursing intervention, the patient's condition was effectively controlled, and the ventilator was taken offine, the tracheal tube was removed, and she was able to breathe autonomously. The Wada drinking water test was level 2, with the removal of the nasogastric tube, the patient was able to autonomously consume the semi liquid diet.
Conclusion:In the process of intervening in patients with LEMS combined with tracheostomy, targeted rehabilitation exercises and nursing should be provided according to the patient's actual condition in order to control and improve the patient's health status.
