Clinical research progress in sensory trick in dystonia

Abstract

Dystonia is a movement disorder characterized by involuntary, persistent or repetitive abnormal muscle contractions resulting in distorted body positions and/or repetitive movements.This type of disease is featured by simultaneous contraction of active and antagonistic muscles, and there is overflow, According to the affected areas of the body there are focal type, segmental type, multi-focal type, systemic type and partial body type.Sensory trick is a classic sign of dystonia. It involves specific movements and is an active action that can temporarily reduce the severity of abnormal posture and involuntary movements, often by applying tactile stimuli to adjacent parts of the body affected by the disease to improve dystonia symptoms.In this paper, we summarized the researches on sensory trick in dystonia reported domestically and abroad.
